Visit me on Facebook! From February through April, I worked with 2nd year students at The Meisner Studio, New York University (NYU), directing their production of Churchill's Mad Forest.
Dr. Louis Scheeder, Arts Professor Director, The Classical Studio, and Interim Chair of the Department of Drama Undergraduate Program, NYU, wrote this:
My congratulations to the Meisner Studio as a whole on the success of the Caryl Churchill project. I thoroughly enjoyed the acting in both "Cloud Nine" and "Mad Forest." These two excellent second-year productions demonstrated the effectiveness of your training and the discipline it instills. I've always been a big fan of actor-centered projects and now am even more so.
Also in April, I directed of Guernica 2003, a short play about Picasso causing trouble for Colin Powell, as part of the American Globe Theatre Festival.
Earlier in the season, I directed a concert reading of the brilliant swashbuckling new musical comedy The Masked Zinfandel, travelled to Thunder Bay, Ontario to facilitate a workshop for young people with the Paramount Live! Theatre Company, and directed Steel Magnolias for The Harbor Lights Theatre.
I am also working with Greenwich House Music School as their Theatre Artist in Residence.
